Lonely Crane

This is one of my favorite glass paintings - A lonely crane. I wanted to buy some gift to one of my colleague who is also a very good friend, but as I wanted it to be something memorable, I decided to gift a glass painting to him. I started to browse for some inspiration to make my glass painting and suddenly this painting flashed on screen. It was so beautiful and I wanted to try it in my own way. It came out quite good and colorful. It took me almost two hours to complete it. Got it framed with silver foil as back ground and it just shone as if illuminated with some lighting. Glass paintings are such an enjoyment to make and are really good gifts too; my friend actually loved it and said he’s going to hang it in his living room when I gave him. I am planning to make one more such painting for myself too.

Lady and the lotus

This is another poster color painting that I tried to paint and I did this using my fingers and nails but did not use brush at all. I really love water lily, pink and violet are my favorite ones. While travelling to my home town I’ve seen a lot of ponds almost covered with lotus and lilies. They look so beautiful and I really get so much attracted to those that I sometimes stop by and pull a few with a stick and carry along. I just tried writing some lines poetically describing my imaginary women in the pond.
A Little line in the twine :-D

Lady and the lotus

I dreamt of a maiden, long dark hair had she,
Afloat in the breeze like threads made of silk
She stood by a pond, mesmerized and carried away
by the beauty of the flowers and life it bore
Set her soft bare foot and entered, but not a ripple formed
She touched a lotus with the gentlest of touch
And the flower shone like never before.
Goddess of the pond I realized
And in a wink she was gone and so was the pond.

Let's Go Fishing

I love to try out different medium and this painting I did it with poster color and A4 sheet. I painted it with my finger and nails and gave a little final touch with dry brush, had loads of fun doing it though I got myself colorful too. I’ve never really gone for fishing, but maybe some time in future I d get a chance to do it.
I wanted to paint some fun activity involving family and friends, suddenly what came to my mind was fishing trip. So just imagined as though caught a big fish and painted myself with my catch. I want try this in canvas with acrylic, well let me see how it turns to. And since I love writing short poetry so wrote a little on this one :

A Little line in the twine :-D
Towards the creak we go,
Where the silver waters flow.
Take our boats and row
Let's throw our nets
till as dark it gets,
Come, towards the creek we go
